The Model YCT1 and YCS1 are carbon steel Y strainers (wye strainers) that can be used in applications for steam, water, oil, or gas where protection from foreign matter in a pipeline is required. The YCT1 has female NPT thread ends, and the YCS1 has socket weld ends. They are 600# class.
Perforated 304 stainless steel screens are welded along the seam for maximum strength. If the media is not specified, screens for steam will be supplied. Options include epoxy coating and galvanizing, and the addition of magnets.
Non-Shock Working Pressure for the YCT1 and YCS1 is 600psi at 838F for steam, 1480psi at 100F for water, oil, and gas (WOG).
These strainers self-clean by opening the drain plug connected to the blow-off port. See the maintenance instructions for more detailed information on servicing the strainer, and the submittal sheets for additional technical data.
