The Model BCT is a carbon steel basket strainer can be used in applications for steam, water, oil or gas where protection from foreign matter in a pipeline is required.
They are constructed from cast steel castings with a machined basket seat for quality. Perforated 304 stainless steel screens are welded along the seam for maximum strength. If the media is not specified, screens for water will be supplied. Options include epoxy coating and galvanizing, special flange drilling, and the addition of magnets.
The carbon steel body is ideal for systems requiring extra strength and safety, such as petroleum or certain hazarduous chemicals.
Non-Shock Working Pressure is 300psi at 838F for steam, and 740psi at 100F for Water/Oil/Gas (WOG).
Cleaning of the strainer is accomplished by removing the cover and pulling out the basket. The high pressure/temperature gasket between the body and cover is spiral wound 304 stainless steel. The BIT strainers have carbon steel hex head cap screws and come with a tapped and plugged NPT drain connection.
